Tips for Oily skin

Hello Everyone!

Here are a few super quick, cheap, and easy tips to keep our oily complexions in check.

  1. Make sure to always start with clean skin!
  2. Use only products that do not contain oil.
  3. After applying your makeup, don't forget to set it with a loose powder and a big fluffy face brush. This will help absorb the extra oils, give you a matte finish, and your makeup will last much longer!
  4. Try blotting with a one ply tissue, napkin or blotting paper. Make sure it doesn't have any kind of moisturizers! Starbucks napkins are lovely for this! They absorb excess oil without disturbing makeup!  If you work in a lab, kimwipes are awesome...shhh!  If you feel like you need more coverage, go ahead, add a little foundation/powder after you've blotted, otherwise you'll be a cakey mess!
I like to use the Palladio Rice Powder in Translucent. It is available in various shades and have seen it sold at Sally's Beauty Supply Stores and Ulta Stores for around $5.

What do you think? I would love to hear from you, comment below!
